Easy Egg Incubator — Installation, Operation and Maintenance
This guide explains the Easy incubator's 12V electrical system, three independent egg-turning levels, digital controllers, humidifier, battery connection, installation and maintenance.
For general incubation principles, egg selection and storage, candling, environmental conditions and incubation periods, refer to the General Support guide.
Easy Incubator — Main Technical Specifications
Factory configuration: The temperature and humidity controllers are configured at the factory. Avoid unnecessary changes to their settings.
Easy Incubator — Main Components and Functions
1. Double-Layer PVC Body and Insulation
The original Easy manual describes a double-layer PVC body with a 3 cm insulation layer inside the machine body.
2. Digital Temperature and Humidity Controllers
The incubator has two digital controllers:
- One temperature controller with a resolution of 0.1°C.
- One humidity controller with a resolution of 1%.
The thermostat's green indicator light remains on while the heater is operating below its configured temperature.
When the configured temperature is reached, the thermostat indicator light turns off.
Controller settings: Both controllers have been configured at the factory. Do not modify their settings unnecessarily.
3. Air Circulation Fan
The Easy incubator has an air circulation fan. Its operation should be checked regularly.
- Clean the fan thoroughly after each incubation cycle.
- Lubricate the fan using the suitable lubricating spray specified in the original manual.
- Check that chick down or debris has not accumulated around the fan or its air openings.
4. Power Supply and Battery Connection
The Easy incubator supports a vehicle-battery connection for use during an electricity outage.
The original manual describes a 12-amp power supply and the following battery connections:
- Connect the red clamp to the battery's positive (+) terminal.
- Connect the black clamp to the battery's negative (−) terminal.
- According to the manual, the power supply charges the connected battery when mains electricity is available.
Battery connection warning: If the battery clamps touch each other or are connected with reversed polarity, the battery-cable fuse may blow.
Do not use a worn-out or defective battery. Check polarity and follow the original electrical connection diagram.
Fuse specification: The manual specifies a 20-amp fuse and states that a spare fuse is included in the package.
5. Humidifier
When the measured humidity is below its configured value, the humidifier's indicator light switches on and the humidifier operates.
- Use distilled water to help extend the humidifier's service life.
- Maintain the water level above the humidifier's metal sensor.
- If the water level drops below the sensor, the humidifier will not start.
- The component instructions specify adding water approximately every 2–3 days.
Water-refill intervals in the source: The humidifier section states every 2–3 days, while the daily-operation instructions specify every two days during the setter period. Both intervals are retained from the source. Monitor the actual water level.
6. Egg Candler
The Easy incubator includes an egg candler for inspecting eggs during incubation. Instructions for interpreting candling results are provided in General Support.
7. Automatic Egg-Turning System
The incubator is equipped with three types of interchangeable egg cups for different bird species.
The original manual refers users to the accompanying instructional video for changing the egg cups.
Checking the turning motor: Egg-turning movement is very slow and may not be visible to the eye.
The manual instructs the user to check for warmth and vibration at the motor to confirm that it is operating.
8. Three Independent Turning Levels
The Easy incubator has three separate egg-turning levels.
- Each level has its own independent egg-turning motor.
- Each motor has an indicator light that illuminates when electrical power is supplied to the motor.
- Each motor plug must be connected to its designated socket.
- Check that every connector is correctly positioned and securely inserted.
Motor connectors: Incorrectly positioned or loose connectors can prevent the affected turning level from operating.
9. Removable Water Reservoir
The water reservoir is located at the bottom of the Easy incubator. It can be removed, washed and replaced.
Easy Incubator — Installation and Startup
Follow this model-specific setup sequence before beginning an incubation cycle.
- Select the appropriate egg cups and install them on the turning mechanisms.
- Connect each turning-motor plug to its designated socket.
- Fill the bottom water reservoir until the water level rises above the humidifier's metal sensor.
- Connect the incubator power supply and switch the machine on.
- Verify that both digital controllers are illuminated.
- Confirm that all three motor indicator lights are illuminated.
- Check that the fan indicator is on and the fan is operating.
- If humidity is below 60%, verify that the humidifier indicator light is on and the humidifier is operating, as described in the source.
- Operate the incubator for one full day before introducing eggs, to confirm correct component operation.
- After the test period, place the eggs in the turning cups with their pointed ends facing downward.
Operating conditions stated in the Easy startup section:
- Internal temperature: 37.5–37.7°C.
- Relative humidity: 55–65%.
- If humidity is below 60%, the humidifier should operate during the startup check.
Factory settings: Do not change the factory-configured controller settings unnecessarily.
Easy Incubator — Daily Equipment Checks
- Monitor both digital controllers.
- Check all three turning-motor indicator lights.
- Confirm that the three independent turning mechanisms are operational.
- Check the humidifier and its water reservoir.
- Keep the water level above the humidifier's metal sensor.
- The source's daily-operation section specifies adding water every two days during the setter period.
- Confirm that the fan is functioning properly.
Easy Incubator — Hatching Basket Installation
The Easy manual instructs operators to transfer chicken eggs to the hatching baskets on approximately day 18.
- Remove the egg-turning mechanisms from the incubator.
- Carefully transfer the eggs to the hatching baskets.
- Add sufficient water to the reservoir to reduce the need for door opening during the following days.
- Close the incubator door securely.
Releasing Excess Humidity During Hatching
According to the Easy manual, the roof ventilation openings can be opened to release excess humidity when humidity rises as chicks begin to hatch.
Model-specific ventilation: Follow the Easy manual when using its roof ventilation openings. Do not confuse controlled ventilation adjustment with obstructing the machine's air passages.
General hatching precautions, chick removal and drying, and incubation schedules are covered in General Support.
Easy Incubator — Component Maintenance
- Check the fan openings and roof ventilation passages.
- Remove chick down or debris around the fan and air passages.
- Clean the fan thoroughly after each incubation cycle.
- Lubricate the fan with the lubricating spray specified in the source manual.
- Remove and clean the water reservoir between cycles.
- Check the humidifier's metal water-level sensor.
- Check the operation of all three egg-turning motors.
- Inspect all motor electrical connectors.
- Verify both digital controllers are operating.
- Inspect the battery clamps, cable and fuse according to the original electrical diagram.
Ventilation maintenance: Chick down can obstruct airflow. Make sure the Easy incubator's fan and air passages are clear before starting another cycle.
Easy Incubator — Final Operating Checklist
